Choose one of the following topics and compose a paper of at least six pages. Your paper should balance the discussion between the two works.  Whichever pairing you choose, consider the following questions:

How are the two voices/forces present in these works? How do they conflict with each other? How do they conflict with themselves?  How are the conflicts resolved? What lessons are we to learn?

2. Know Thyself vs. Duty to the gods

3. Reason vs. Passion
