 Paper #3:  The Aeneid and The Bacchae

Due December 15 11:59 p.m.

Choose one of the following topics and compose a paper of at least seven pages.

Your paper should balance the discussion between the two works. 

Whichever pairing you choose, consider the following questions:

How are the two voices/forces present in these works? How do they conflict with each other? How do they conflict with themselves? 

How are the conflicts resolved? What lessons are we to learn? How do these two forces define the hero's journey? How do they define "tragedy"?
