JIM COURT
After
attaining his MBA from Pepperdine's GSBM, Mr. Court went on to become one of the
top eight technology executives in the insurance industry by Insurance and Technology magazine.
Currently, he is the Chief Operating Officer at First American's Property and
Casualty Insurance Group. His professional background includes leadership
positions in technology and operations at MGE UPS Systems and Printronix,
Inc.
ADI RAZ
Adi Raz
earned her MBA from Pepperdine's GSBM this year with a perfect GPA. At
present, she is the senior statistician at the Retail Equation, a fraud
detection and real time transaction optimization company providing services
to top tier retailers. She is also the Vice President of Operations at Equity
Decision Systems, a company working to bring the power of predictive models
and data mining to mid-sized organizations. Previously, Ms. Raz was a manager
in the credit modeling and analytics department at Washington Mutual, where
she was responsible for coordinating the construction of models to approve
home loans and manage the company's $100 billion loan portfolio.
JEFF ROZIC
Jeff Rozic is a marketing strategist at Google
Audio, a traditional media advertising unit within Google's global
advertising sales organization. Jeff joined Google in 2006 after attaining
his MBA in the one-year, full-time program at Pepperdine University's
Graziadio School of Business and Management. While at Pepperdine, Jeff
co-founded the Values-Centered Leadership Lab and interned at Boingo
Wireless. Prior to graduate school, Jeff was a marketing and business
development analyst at Emergent Biosolutions (NYSE: EBS), a Maryland-based
biotechnology company.

SEAVER

GOMEZ CREASEY
After
graduating from Seaver College, Mr. Creasey went on to earn an MFA in film
and television producing from the Peter Stark producing program at University
of Southern California. Mr. Creasey's debut feature film is Sydney White. He
has written for Aaron Sorkin's critically acclaimed "Study 60 on the
Sunset Strip," and is currently writing for the ABC drama, "Pushing
Daisies."
THERESA DE LOS SANTOS
After attaining her B.A. in telecommunications with an emphasis in broadcast
news and a concentration in political science in 2001, Ms. De Los Santos was named
Seaver communication division’s “most outstanding
graduate.” She began her professional career as a news producer,
working for the ABC affiliate in Colorado Springs, CO. At present, Ms. De Los
Santos has been a producer at the FOX station (KTTV) in Los Angeles for 4 years. On her return to
Pepperdine, she attained a MA degree in mass mediated communications. She
will be starting a doctoral program in media communication at U.C. Santa
Barbara.
CHARLES PARK
Dr. Park is the Assistant
Principal of the Engineering and Business
Academies at John
Muir High
School in Pasadena,
CA. While earning his doctorate
in education from the University
of Southern California,
he was an English teacher and Dean of Students at a middle school.
Currently, he is publishing his dissertation on
minority teachers in AERA’s SIG anthology. Dr. Park was one of the
inaugural students of Pepperdine’s three-year honors program at Seaver College. He served as a member of
Pepperdine’s Ambassador’s Council and received his PADI license.

OF LAW ALUMNI TO SPEAK:
DAVID
BOATWRIGHT
For the past 27 years, Mr. Boatwright has practiced law in the areas of
transactional business and tax matters, including partnership and joint
venture arrangements and limited liability companies. He is counsel for
Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves, and Savitch LLP in San Diego. Prior to joining his current
firm, Mr. Boatwright served as chair of the San Diego tax practice at Latham and
Watkins for over a decade. Mr. Boatwright is certified by the California
Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in taxation law. He attained
his JD from Pepperdine’s school of law in 1981, and has been recognized
in the 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th editions of Best Lawyers in America (published by Woodward/White Inc.) In
addition to his legal practice, Mr. Boatwright runs a senior-assisted living
community development consulting business and serves as the President of the
Board of Directors of the Monarch School Project, an organization that is
dedicated to providing homeless and at-risk children with an accredited
education while caring for their basic needs.
VIRGINIA MILSTEAD
Ms. Milstead attained her JD from
Pepperdine’s School
of Law in 2004. 2 years
ago, she joined the Los Angeles
office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP as a litigation
associate. Her practice is focused on securities litigation, director
misconduct, and related claims. Ms. Milstead has represented clients in
matters involving both federal and state securities laws and contests for
corporate control. Her representation of corporations in litigation has
related to stock options backdating as well as for issues arising out of the
subprime mortgage industry. Previously, she has served as a law clerk to the
Honorable Florence-Marie Cooper in the U.S. District Court for the Central
District of California and to the Honorable Arthur Alarcon in the U.S. Court
of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
MICHELE MARYOTT
Ms. Maryott is a partner in Gibson, Dunn, and
Crutcher’s Orange
County office, where
she has practiced for 11 years. Her work focuses on complex business and
commercial litigation. She has represented clients in a wide variety of cases
including: consumer, wage, and hour class actions, employment litigation, and
toxic tort litigation. Ms. Maryott has also worked on cases involving unfair
business practices and other business torts. She earned her law degree from
Pepperdine in 1997, graduating summa cum laude.

ALUMNI TO SPEAK:
FRANCES DIAZ
Dr.
Diaz earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from GSEP in 2005. As
a licensed clinical psychologist in California,
she continues her clinical practice specializing in therapeutic interventions
for children, families, and adults. Dr. Diaz also works part-time at Saddleback College where she provides personal
and academic counseling to a diverse student population. In addition to her
clinical work, she is an adjunct faculty member for the graduate psychology
programs at both Pepperdine and Webster
Universities. Dr. Diaz
has been invited to present at several events, including American
Psychological Association’s Educational Leadership Conference and
Medical Grand Rounds at Long
Beach Memorial Medical Center.
JANICE KEENER
Dr. Keener attained her doctorate in clinical psychology from GSEP this May.
She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she conducted
intensive psychotherapy and comprehensive assessments with children and their
families in a pediatric setting. Dr. Keener is currently a Consult-Liason
Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
ROBERT MARTELLACCI
Mr.
Martellacci attained his M.A. in Educational Technology from
Pepperdine’s GSEP last June. Following his attainment of a Pepperdine
graduate degree, he launched MindShare Learning Report, Canada’s Premier
Educational Technology eMagazine whose mission is to inspire education and
industry to embrace 21st century learning skills and share
successful practices. In addition, he is the president of MindShare Learning,
a privately held, Toronto
based company that provides strategic marketing solutions to learning
technology companies in the K-12, higher education, and life-long learning
markets to support new market expansion and revenue growth. Mr. Martellacci
also serves on the board of CeLEA (Canadian eLearning Alliance)
and the Institute for Technology Enhanced Learning at York University.
His primary research interest involves investigating success factors of
classroom technology integration.
MARIO NUNEZ
Mr. Nunez completed his organizational leadership doctorate at Pepperdine's
GSEP last year. Currently, he is a research project manager with Walt Disney
Parks and Resorts in Anaheim. In addition to
leading projects aimed at defining guest experience and advising managers and
executives on the future direction of the Resort, he also periodically
teaches at Mount Saint Mary's College. Mr. Nunez has a decade of expertise in
automotive product planning and design in several Japanese
organizations.

Policy
SCHOOL
OF PUBLIC POLICY ALUMNI TO SPEAK:
ALMIS UDRYS
Mr. Udrys attained his MPP from Pepperdine’s
School of Public Policy in 2001, specializing in
American politics and international relations. He is the principal policy
consultant of the Assembly
Republican Caucus in Sacramento,
where he has reviewed, analyzed, and provided voting recommendations on over
100 bills originating in the Health Committee. In his current role, Mr. Udrys briefs
members of the legislature on pressing issues and current legislation, as
well as prepares floor talking points and opinion pieces for Assembly
members. Previously, he has recommended performance measures related to California’s
Prison Industry Authority’s statutory purposes of employing inmates,
reducing costs, and rehabilitation. In his first year working at the
California Bureau of State Audits, he was recognized by the California state auditor as “rookie
of the year” for outstanding achievement as an employee.
GREGORY PEJIC
Mr.
Pejic is the Inaugural 2008 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Fellow at
the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica.
He is conducting research on the U.S. Air Force research project to develop
framework and methods for using measures of combat effectiveness in decision
making about programs. Mr. Pejic
gained analyst experience at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where he
assisted in analysis, deliberations, and co-writing of program review
decisions designed by the Deputy Secretary.
He was named a Forstmann Scholar and Presidential Management Fellow at
Pepperdine’s School
of Public Policy, where
he graduated 2 years ago with his MPP. In the past, Mr. Pejic has engaged in
research for the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and the
American Enterprise Institute.
EDYTA-CHRISTINA
GRZYBOWSKA
Ms. Grzybowska is currently a visiting, third year
law school student at Pepperdine. She will attain her JD from George Mason University
next May. She has been named a Diversity Scholar for the Washington DC
Metropolitan Region. Recently, Ms. Grzybowska has conducted legal and
legislative research on the meaning of “hardship” under the
Immigration and Nationality Act and Circuit interpretations for the Board of
Immigration Appeals. In 2005, she attained her MPP from Pepperdine’s School of Public Policy. During her graduate
studies, she conducted research on the Constitutional Convention for the
Teaching American History project, and served as a teaching assistant for the
Roots of the American Order class. She also conducted research on Cyprus’s
unification and its partial EU accession. Fluent in Polish and Bulgarian, Ms.
Grzybowska interned at the Office of the Committee for European Integration
in Warsaw, Poland.
